I just ran across this bit of news yesterday and wanted to share it. Apparently the Crocs brand is slipping a little and it may be time for current CEO Ron Snyder to step down. Or will the Board remove him?
Apparently Crocs established a strong niche shoe brand and through most of years 2006 & 2007 dominated the specialty shoe market. But then it stalled out and much of the blame is being aimed at Mr. Snyder.
In other words, for the present the Crocs shoe brand is stangnating. Seeing Crocs is a publicly traded company, shareholders are rumbling.
There is a call to find a new CEO who has a solid background in branding. Someone who can do for Crocs what the CEO did for the Nike brand.
In otherwords, Crocs needs a new CEO who can JUST DO IT!
